Art of dating korra
Their art books are full of interesting information about the development process.
Most importantly for lore junkies like myself, the book has tidbits about the world and characters that for whatever reason didn't make it into the show.
It features Korra and Asami dealing with the chaos caused by the new portal—both in the Spirit World and back home in Republic City.
“Korra has to figure out how to find a new balance in the city with all this stuff that’s gone on,” Di Martino recently told EW.
A lot of the art is accompanied by short insights by either one of the two creators or an artist.
Some of the insights offer a view into why things look the way they do, other insights help you to understand certain aspects of an individual episode (the book is broken down in chapters by each season 4 episode).
Korra is a vivacious and caring young woman whose antics find her both dangerous enemies and loving friends.
Korra's cousins, Desna and Eska, have a mutual low opinion of Korra, despite her position as the Avatar.
The canonical romance between Avatar Korra and Asami continues in a piece of brand-new art from The Legend of Korra co-creator Brian Konietzko.
A simple black and white sketch depicting Korra, Mako, Bolin, and Asami together in a series of 4 "photo booth" style photos.
The piece so perfectly captures their charming personalities and interactions with each other. I'd heartily recommend this book to Legend of Korra fans, as well as the first 3 books in this series.
The exhibition runs until March 22nd so even if you can’t make it into the opening—and if you’re gonna try, get there early because lines tend to wrap around the block for these events—you still have plenty of time to check out all the amazing work by talented artists like Claire Hummel, the aforementioned Emily Tetri, Joaquim Dos Santos, Perry Maple Dixon, and many more.
